Frequently Asked Questions?
FAQ's
What makes Liberated’s digital lenses different from “ordinary” prescription lenses?
Digital / Smart Lens Technology
Our digital lenses are engineered with digital surfacing and precision algorithms that map the curvature of your visual field in 3D. Traditional lenses are manufactured on flat surfaces and often distort peripheral vision or induce blur at the edges. Our process corrects for those distortions, delivering clarity from edge to edge.
2. Why is this considered “luxury lens tech”?
You’re not just buying clear vision — you’re buying optical craftsmanship, performance, and longevity. We use premium materials, multi-layer coatings (anti-glare, scratch resistance, blue-light filter), and exacting tolerances. Each lens is individually tuned for your prescription and calibrated to high-end standards, which means fewer compromises, sharper vision, and a more elegant experience.
3. How does Liberated’s lens tech integrate with style and fashion?
We design our frames and lenses together. Our lenses are slim and light, so they don’t force bulky frames to compensate. The tech is built to complement fashion-forward designs — so you don’t lose aesthetics for performance. The result? Eyewear that looks high fashion and performs at a technical level.
4. Are these lenses worth the extra cost?
Yes — especially if you value clarity, eye comfort, and long-term vision health. Because of precision shaping and advanced coatings, you’ll experience less eye strain, sharper vision in all lighting conditions, and enhanced color accuracy. In many cases, the difference is subtle but consistent — over time, it pays for itself in comfort and fewer replacements.
5. How do I know if digital lenses are right for me (vs. traditional)?
If you:
Notice blur or distortion on the edges of your sunglasses or everyday glasses
Work on digital screens for hours each day
Want modern, slim aesthetics without visual compromise
Appreciate subtle improvements in vision even when off your prescription
then digital lenses are an ideal upgrade.
If you have a very simple prescription with minimal distortion, traditional lenses may suffice — but you’ll see greater benefits with digital lenses as prescriptions become more complex or your usage increases.
6. Is the upgrade process more complicated than ordering regular lenses?
Not really. You supply your prescription and PD (pupillary distance). Our system integrates those into our digital surfacing process. Your frames, lens coatings, and tech add-ons (e.g. blue light, transitions) are built into the same workflow. The checkout and installation process is seamless and similar to ordering standard lenses.
7. What about warranty, returns & adjustments?
We back every pair with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee — if you don’t notice clearer vision or find issues, we’ll exchange or refund (terms apply).
We also offer free minor adjustments (e.g. fit, frame alignment) within 6 months, and a warranty against manufacturer defects (scratches, misalignment) for 1 year.
8. Do I risk getting buyer’s regret — what if I don’t like them?
We understand that hesitation. That’s why we emphasize risk-free trial, transparent specs, and real customer reviews. If the lenses don’t feel right, you can return under our guarantee. Also, through UGC, we show real people wearing our glasses in real settings — you know what you’re stepping into.

What Is PD and how is it measured?
PD means “pupillary distance,” which is the distance between the center of each pupil. This measurement is used to determine where you look through the lens of your glasses. This is an extremely important number because it measures the distance between your eyes to ensure your pupils match up with the optical center of your lenses. If there is no PD on your prescription, checking with your eye doctor is recommended.
Please note that the average PD is between 54 and 78mm. This might be slightly different compared to practical measurements. Please be sure to measure your PD at least twice to get accurate results.
😎Our advanced Virtual Try on automatically measures your PD with all new Optician-Level Accuracy. New Enhanced Accuracy: Our PD measurement now achieves ±1.5 mm precision, ensuring an optimal fit.
