What are UV rays?
- UV stands for ultraviolet, a band of spectrum invisible to the eye.
How do I know my sunglasses will protect my eyes?
- Each pair of our sunglasses have100% UV 400 Protection which protect your eyes from these damaging rays.
What are Blue Light locking lens?
- Blue-light blocking glasses have filters in their lenses that block or absorb blue light, and in some cases UV light, from getting through. That means if you use these glasses when looking at a screen, especially after dark, they can help reduce exposure to blue light waves that can keep you awake.
How do I track my package?
- Shortly after your order is shipped you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. If you have ensured your package you can download the Route app to track your package, or track your package via Shop. Should you experience any issues with tracking your package please contact us right way.
What are polarized lenses?
- Polarized lenses have a special chemical applied to them to filter light. The chemical's molecules are lined up specifically to block some of the light from passing through the lens. Think of it like a miniblind hanging in front of a window. Only light that passes through the blind's openings can be seen.
What is TR90?
- TR90 frames durable, lightweight, anti-allergic, good toughness and impact resistant.
What are Photochromic Lens?
- Many eye doctors recommend photochromic lenses also known as adpative eyewear because they offer constant protection against the harmful UV light. Photochromic lenses are lenses that stay transparent indoors, but darken when exposed to ultraviolet light from the sun. Essentially, they provide the benefits of glasses and sunglasses in a single frame
What types of eyewear can I choose from?
- We offer Acetate, Mazzuchelli Acetate, PC, TR90, Nylon or Polarized Lens for sunglasses and prescription ready eyeglasses. At this time we do not offer adding prescription into any eyewear. We strongly recommend taking the frames to your provider to add your prescription as this service is coming soon.
How do I know the quality of my eyewear, this is my first purchase?
- The Eyewear is handcrafted In Italy or Made in China and made of Acetate, or Mazzuchelli acetate, or polycarbonate, or high-quality biodegradable materials. All products meet the U.S. Standard ANSI Z80.3-2015 and are also CE Certified to meet European Standards. They are indeed UV400 Protected and protect against harmful UVA and UVB sun rays. 100% UVA and UVB Protection CE - Lenses are UV Category Filter 3 -also Prescription friendly, for better visual experiences. Each pair comes with a certification of authenticity guarantees your Liberated Eyewear meets product standards and certification requirements card to confirm that only quality was sourced to meet product standards.
What is the difference between acetate and polycarbonate (pc)?
- Acetate is a plant-based, non-petroleum product derived from wood pulp and cotton, allowing it to be stronger, more durable and more flexible than regular plastic. Consequently frames made with acetate are more resistant to pressure placed upon frames, which means it can be bent further before breaking. Eyewear that are made from acetate are environmentally friendly and considerably high quality.
- Polycarbonate lenses are made of a more impact-resistant plastic than regular plastic lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are also significantly thinner and lighter than glass lenses. Polycarbonate is considerably a high quality plastic frame which is ideal for lightweight comfort to wear all day.
Can I add my prescription?
- Absolutely, our optic frame collection is created for that reason alone. You add your prescription or customize your lens in 2 simple steps: Simply upload a copy of a valid prescription and select your prescription and lens type. That’s it! It’s that simple.
- My finished frames arrived, but they fit crooked or too high/low. What should I do? This misfit can affect your vision if the lenses are not properly aligned with your pupils (PD measurement). We recommend bringing them to your local optician for adjustment. Most are happy to do so. We now offer reimbursement for adjustments up to $15 on a case by case basis. An exclusive offer to our members only!
How do you preserve sunglasses?
- Rinse with water or gently wipe the lens and arms in a circular motion with your Liberated microfiber cloth.
- The distance between the arms of the glasses should be appropriate, keep the arms of your glasses properly bent do not make them to tight or too loose.
- Keep away from excessive heat.
- Regular maintenance.
- Never place your eyewear face down.
- Do not vigorously adjust through the nose piece! Gently move the nose piece to your desired comfort level.
- Glasses should also be protected when not in use,by placing the glasses into the leather glasses case or satin glasses pouch.
- In daily use, remember to fold the arms of your eyewear when you remove them and place the lenses facing up.
What Is PD and how is it measured?
- PD means “pupillary distance,” which is the distance between the center of each pupil. This measurement is used to determine where you look through the lens of your glasses. This is an extremely important number because it measures the distance between your eyes to ensure your pupils match up with the optical center of your lenses. If there is no PD on your prescription, checking with your eye doctor is recommended.
- Please note that the average PD is between 54 and 78mm. This might be slightly different compared to practical measurements. Please be sure to measure your PD at least twice to get accurate results.
- Our advanced Virtual Try on automatically measures your PD with over a 90% accuracy fitting, please be sure to match our PD with the PD provided by your optometrist.
- Think of your optometrist as the primary care doctor for your eyes. Your ophthalmologist is more of a specialist who can treat complex medical issues related to your eyes, and can perform corrective procedures or surgeries
What is the Return/Refund Policy?
- Liberated offers a 365-day warranty (after receiving the products) covering clear defects in material and workmanship and a one-time replacement will only be issued if there are clear defects in material and workmanship.
- Our Digital Eyestrain coating including blue light blocker have a 1 year lens replacement warranty.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If your product arrives damage you may exchange for free by submitting a claim via email. Please be sure to include your order number in the subject line of the email.
