Care Instructions
Extend the lifetime of your eyewear with proper care.
-
1. Clean Regularly and Gently
Use Liberated Eyewear specialized eyeglass cleaner to clean your glasses. Avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners, as they can damage lens coatings. Gently wipe the lenses and frames with a microfiber cloth or our deluxe satin cloth to avoid scratching. Avoid using paper towels or clothing, as they can leave lint or scratches. -
2. Store Properly
When you're not wearing your glasses, store them in our signature protective case or deluxe satin to prevent scratches, bending, or damage. Avoid leaving your glasses in extreme temperatures or humid environments, as this can affect the frame and lens materials. -
3. Handle with Care
Always use both hands to remove or put on your glasses to prevent bending or misalignment of the frames. Avoid placing your glasses lens-side down, as it can lead to scratches. Instead, place them with the lenses facing upward or in the protective case. Never leave your glasses on surfaces where they can easily fall or be stepped on. -
4. Schedule Regular Maintenance
Visit your optician for regular adjustments to ensure your glasses fit properly and comfortably. Loose or misaligned frames can cause discomfort and affect vision. Have your lenses checked for scratches, cracks, or other damage regularly. Your optician can also clean hard-to-reach areas and perform any necessary repairs. Consider investing in our protective coatings or treatments for your lenses, such as anti-scratch or anti-reflective coatings, to enhance durability and performance. -
Caring for ClarityCTRL™
These HD lenses feature digitally surfaced technology down to 1/100th of a diopter—treat them like precision tools. ClarityCTRL™ lenses include anti-reflective and blue light protection coatings, which can be damaged by alcohol- or ammonia-based cleaners—avoid glass cleaners and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently in a circular motion to protect multi-layer coatings and maintain high-definition clarity. -
Caring for Transitions® Lens-
Transitions® lenses react to UV exposure. When indoors, store your eyewear away from direct sunlight to allow full reactivation. These lenses darken and fade with light conditions—allow them to fully activate and return to clear naturally. Avoid using heat to “speed up” transitions. Like ClarityCTRL™, these lenses include specialized coatings—clean only with lens-safe products and always use a microfiber cloth.
